He was born in Ankara in 1974. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry, which he entered in 1992, in 1997. In 1998, he started his doctorate program at Selcuk University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics. In 2002, he received the title of “Doctor of Orthodontics” with his doctoral thesis named “The effects of mandibular midline distraction osteogenesis on dentofacial structures”. He was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2004 and continued his duty at Selçuk University. He received the title of Associate Professor in the same department in 2006. He started to work at İnönü University in 2009 and took administrative duties as the Founding Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Member of the Senate, and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. He was appointed as a Professor at İnönü University in 2012 and became one of the youngest professors in his field in Turkey. Between 2012 and 2015, he served as a member of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) and a member of the Advisory Board in the TÜBİTAK Health Sciences Research Group for many years.
prof. Dr. Sıddık MALKOÇ is on the editorial board and academic advisory board of many domestic and international journals. He has more than 300 publications and presentations, 80 of which are in journals within the scope of SCI.
prof. Dr. Sıddık MALKOÇ is an active member of the Turkish Dental Association (TDB), Turkish Orthodontic Association (TOD), American Orthodontic Association (AAO), European Orthodontic Association (EOS), World Orthodontic Federation (WFO) and International Dental Research Association (IADR).
